Shaivism and hence, a majority of these temples are devoted to Lord Shiva. The
compulsory temple is the Ghateshwar Mahadev Temple which is the centre of the

found here that possess Vaishnava and Shakta influence too. The Nagara style
has a huge impact in the design of the Baroli temples. The Indian temple
architecture was important especially in this era in fine sculpture and

Location
The Baroli Temple complex is on the
bank of Chambal River in village of Rawli in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan.
Due to the natural beauty it was also a great religious and cultural hub in the
ancient times since it was close to the river. Baroli village is approximately
50 km away to Chittorgarh town, and can also be reached easily in Kota and
Bundi. Bariani Temple is reachable by road transportation to the towns nearby,
as one of the historical sites that are of interest to the tourists.

Architectural features
The Baroli temple complex has a very
visible influence of the Nagara style. High spires and carved pillars,
sanctuaries and fancy pavilion make the style characterised. All the temples
