Location Introduction:-

Saledipura Fort is an ancient historical fort located in Saledipura village near Srimadhopur in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. As the fort is located on top of a hill, it was once an important military station to monitor the surrounding area. Today, it is a small but significant example of traditional fort architecture in Rajasthan. The nearest railway station to the fort is Jorawarnagar, which is about 10 km away.
The fort was part of the defence system of the local Rajput rulers and was used to protect the surrounding villages and trade routes.

The history of the fort

Details about the specific construction year of the Saledipura Fort are not available much, but according to historians, it was built during the medieval Rajput rule. Like many forts in Rajasthan, it was built by the local Rajput kings to resist the onslaught of the enemy and maintain control over the surrounding areas.

In the medieval period, there were many small kingdoms in the Rajasthan region. At that time every state used to build forts on the hills or at strategic places for their protection.
